Tail End of the Trip

The ride back to Alabama was coooooold. Below freezing at one point. Lots of stops for coffee to warm up.

What better way to discuss the tail end of the trip than to show the new art on the tail end of Rae's bike.

Ta Ta For Now.

Daytona has a Race Track?

I just realized that I had not documented the last 2 days of vacation. so here they are!
Shot of one of the bikes during practice. Some banking! Now back to Alabama.

Bike Week

Bike Week has begun. Mine is the silver GoldWing. Yeah, that one, parked right on Main Street. I am here! I bought the t-shirt. I got a patch for my jacket. Another item off my bucket list. :)

Back to Titusville

We rode back to Titusville today. Enjoyable ride with time afterward for relaxation. John and Rae ran off for gumbo. I took a ride around happening downtown Titusville. :) Actually, I found a Memorial park that made for a great opportunity to unwind.

Key West

Traffic and toll roads made the trip to Key West start with a little frustration. But once we were out on Key Largo, the ride was heavenly.
And now my bucket list is officially shorter by one item. I stood by the southern most marker for a picture. First of four corners.
Someone said that the sunset from Key West is pretty nice. I'll be back for more.

Fort Lauderdale

The trip to Ft Lauderdale from Titusville was a slow change from warm to almost too warm.
Let me say that again: Almost too warm. AAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh..........
Dinner with Rae's brother Bill and his wife Bing. Awesome Chinese buffet. mmmmm....

Hope to grab a photo off of Rae's camera later.

In Titusville

We made it in to Titusville. 8 hours of drive time stretched into 15. The scenic route across 90 was scenic. And slow. And routing around the tool roads meant that we got to enjoy the journey. A lot of journey. :)
The day started cold, 45 degrees. It got up to 70, which was sooooo nice.
Tomorrow will be a shorter day. :)
